At Henley Primary School our EYFS children are in a mixed Reception and Year 1 class. Our curriculum maps (see attached curriculum maps below) form the basis of our topic planning. Within the topics we follow the children's interests and adapt the planning to suit the needs of our EYFS and Year 1 children. Each time we teach a topic the children take us in a new direction based on each cohort's specific interests and skills.
In September 2021 we started following the new Development Matters - Curriculum Guidance for the Early Years Foundation Stage. Have a look at the new guidance and let me know if you have any questions.
